The Lost Regiment

The Lost Regiment is the title of a nine -volume novel series of the American SF writer William R. Forstchen ( born 1950 ) was written in the 1990s.

It deals with the fictional story of the 35th Maine Regiment, which will take your breath during the American Civil War through a mysterious phenomenon on an alien world called Waldennia. In the course of the series succeeds the commander of the Union regiment Andrew Keane, the resident human population on the planet that seems to come from different ages in the earth, to free themselves from the domination of the " hordes ". These aliens bully until the arrival of the Yankees of them enslaved people, but are pushed back gradually from the battle- trained blue skirts.

The first five volumes of the series have been published by Bastion Luebbe, but the others are not translated into German, according to the publisher, as the sales figures were not enough to cover the costs.
