The Man in the Moon is an American drama directed by Robert Mulligan in 1991 to take over the lead role in the Reese Witherspoon and Jason London. This was Robert Mulligan's last film as well as for Reese Witherspoon and her first film lead role.

Action

The story is set in rural Louisiana in the summer of 1957 and tells the story of a 14 year old girl named Dani ( Reese Witherspoon ), the love in a three- year-older boy named Court Foster (Jason London). After a relationship between the two has built, Foster feels at once to the older sister Dani, Maureen (Emily Warfield ) attracted. By strokes of fate, the sisters gather life experiences that will help them to realize how important family is actually for them.
