The Man Who Loved Yngve is a Norwegian film from the year 2008. 2011 came a sequel titled I'm traveling alone to the movies. Another part of 2012 ( original title Kompani Orheim ) has not been performed in Germany.

Content

The film is set in 1989 in Stavanger, Norway. The 17 -year-old Jarle is one of the most popular kid in its class, especially among girls, the singer of a punk band called, Mathias Rust landing strip '. His life changes with the day Yngve newly joins the class. Jarle is intrigued by the handsome young man and has to finally admit that he has fallen in love with Yngve. Nothing is the same as it was. Jarle changes its habits, in a troubled time when the Berlin Wall falls and the whole of Europe lived through political upheaval. Also for Jarle breaking on hard times: The search for one's identity, one's own ego has just begun in earnest.
