The Master Plan is a compilation album of B- sides of the British music group Oasis. The album was released on November 2, 1998.

Description

The album was originally to be published only in distant markets such as America, where it is usually very expensive to import singles and B-sides contained therein. Acquiesce was released in America as a single.

The Masterplan reached platinum in the UK and sold worldwide of over two million times.

The unofficial successor of the album, Stop the Clocks, was published on 20 November 2006. Contrary to earlier statements by Noel Gallagher - " The only thing we've got that might also be in the pipeline next year will be another B-sides album " - is a best-of collection released. The complete track list was long kept secret and only announced on September 11.

Listen Up and I Am the Walrus been modified from its original version on the Cigarettes & Alcohol - single. In Listen Up, part of the guitar solos and I Am the Walrus missing was shortened from 8:14 to 6:25 minutes.

I Am the Walrus

On The Masterplan for the first time the correct Recording of I Am the Walrus was indicated in the footnotes. The information on the Cigarettes & Alcohol - single are:. Glasgow Cathouse, June 1994 Noel admitted in an interview that the song during sound check a gig at a dedicated Sony Music Seminar was admitted to Gleneagles in February. The reason for the false information called Noel, that " would be received at a dedicated Sony Seminar ' look like shit " ( " recorded at a Sony seminar [ would ] look shit" ).

Rockin 'Chair

Chris Griffiths was thanked for his participation in the lyrics. When publishing on the Single Roll with It in 1995, Noel Gallagher was listed as sole songwriter.
