The Mayor of 44th Street is an American musical - drama from 1942 directed by Alfred E. Green of RKO Pictures. George Murphy plays a music manager that makes creating a gangster and his gang. The emergence of a gang of kids and a falling out with his girlfriend, played by Anne Shirley, its location exacerbate even further.

Action

Joe Jonathan, an organizer for dance music and manager of a club is forewarned of the seedy detective Tommy Fallon that Ed Kirby on parole coming soon from prison and had indicated that he would visit him. Kirby has the nickname " Mayor of 44th Street " captured since it has spread through extortion and control of various clubs in the 44th fear and terror.
