The Mézga Family

Adolar fantastic adventures (Hungarian Aladar Mézga különös kalandjai, literally Adolar Mézgas fantastic adventures ) is a Hungarian cartoon series from the years 1969 to 1974 by József Romhányi and József ripoff. It connects thematically and staffed largely Hot on the animated series wire to the afterlife.

For the East German television series by DEFA was synchronized. There is also a West German dubbed version of the Bavaria film under the title Archibald, the Space Trotter. Here, all 13 episodes were shown, while in the DEFA version of a sequence was omitted. In February 2004, the twelve episodes of the DEFA version on DVD were released.

Action

The 12 -year-old Adolar is a genius. At night he brings out of his violin case an inflatable spacecraft " Gulliverkli " in which he flies to another planet. Almost always there is his talking dog Schnuffi.

All episodes of the subtle irony and hidden social criticism of Eastern European filmmakers is their own.

The Mézga series series

Adolar fantastic adventures are part of a series of three series (on the fourth series being worked on ) about the family Mézga / Butcher (Hungarian Mézga család ). Each series consists of 13 episodes each á 24 minutes. The series series enjoys especially in Eastern Germany ( again with the exception of not present in German third series ) as well as in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Brazil and Italy cult status and is repeated there on TV regularly.

The individual series wear international following ( quite different ) Title:

  • Hot wire to the afterlife (Hungarian üzenet a jövőből - A Mézga család különös kalandjai, Czech odkaz budoucnosti aneb Podivuhodná dobrodružství rodiny Smolíkovy, Slovak Miazgovci I, English The Mézga family) In this series, the contact with a descendant of the Mézgas from the 30 successful century.
  • Adolar fantastic adventure / Archibald, the Space Trotter (Hungarian Aladar Mézga különös kalandjai, Czech Podivuhodná dobrodružství Vladimira Smolika, Slovak Miazgovci II, English The Adventures of Aladar Mézga )
  • The Adventures of Mézga family (Hungarian Vakáción a Mézga család, Cz Podivuhodné prázdniny rodiny Smolíkovy, slow. Miazgovci na cestách ) In this series, the whole family is invited by Hufnagel Pisti on a world tour. The action is continuous.
