The Musical Box (band)
The Musical Box is a Canadian tribute band that faithfully the concerts of the band Genesis 1972-1976 reconstructed and lists live. It is the world's only band that has this ever get an official license from Genesis and Peter Gabriel.
History
Since its launch in 1993, they have perfected the concerts to Foxtrot (1972 ), Selling England by the Pound (1973) and The Lamb lies down on Broadway (1974 ) and on. This includes the procurement of the same equipment and the same instruments that Genesis used in the seventies (Mike Rutherford to have them lent his sitar for "I Know What I Like" ), the exact replicas of special designs for the stage forms including the costumes Peter Gabriel, to copies of the original slides that were shown during the concerts of Genesis. In addition, Tony Banks, together with them through a part of the multi-track recording so that they could reproduce individual parts better.

The Musical Box performs regular basis since 2002 by European tours that lead them to the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy and Scandinavia. And from 2002 to 2004 and 2007 - In 2005 and 2006, the "Tour of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway " were " Foxtrot / Selling England By The Pound - Tour " section. The end of 2007 presented the TMB of Genesis in 1974 conducted only in North America "Black Show" that the - showed " Selling England By The Pound Show" with another stage set and costumes other predominantly black. After the departure of Denis Gagné (aka Peter Gabriel ) the role of Phil Collins was first taken over by Ron Belgard. However, this surprisingly left the band in September 2008 and Denis Gagné rose again in the short term as a singer. As Gagné does not play drums, Marc Laflamme was also active as a drummer.
At the beginning of 2012 The Musical Box went on tour in Europe. The " Lamb lies down on Broadway " tour began on January 26 in Rome and ended on 10 March in Lisbon.
