The Observer

The Observer is a weekly British newspaper. She is a liberal / social democratic oriented. The first issue appeared on December 4, 1791 The Observer was thus the first Sunday newspaper. The head office is at Kings Place, London.

William Waldorf Astor bought in 1911 ( 1848-1919 ) The Observer from the family Harmsworth. The Observer changed his direction in 1942, when he declared himself to be impartial, which was unusual at the time. Until then, he had been for 34 years under JL Garvin a conservative journal.
