The One I Love (Manga)

The One I Love (Japaneseわたし の すき な ひと, Watashi no Suki na Hito ) is a manga series of the Japanese characters team CLAMP. The manga is aimed primarily at adult women, that can be assigned to the Josei genus. The One I Love consists of twelve stories that all revolve around love. The protagonists of the stories are female.

CLAMP member Mick Nekoi was responsible for the drawings of the manga, comments to every story written Nanase Ōkawa.

Publications

The manga was released in Japan from 1993 to 1995 in separate chapters in the monthly manga magazine Young Rose. The Kadokawa Shoten - Verlag brought this single chapter out as anthology.

The anthology also was moved also in Spain, Germany, France and the United States. In German The One I Love was released in January 2006, Egmont Manga & Anime.

Reception

The manga is often referred to as a personal work of illustrators teams because the stories are partly autobiographical. In the AnimaniA you wrote in 2005, the love stories are heartwarming. The drawings are adorable, but: " Only in rare places the proportions and facial features look even more uncertain and the background is not as detailed as in the later works. "
