The Organon of the Healing Art

The Organon of Medicine (Latin: organum tool ) is a work of Samuel Hahnemann and the fundamental work of homeopathy. Even for the first edition Hahnemann had used fragments from his previously published writings. In preparation for the subsequent editions he took one copy of each, added a few sentences underlined other and stuck a piece of paper with an entirely new paragraph. He had never enough time in a row to create a work of a piece. Therefore, the Organon has a patchwork structure in the later editions. Within a single sentence, there are sometimes parts that are twenty years older than the rest and different to play overlapping lines of development. Therefore, it is possible that today's followers called with different views on one and the same work of Hahnemann.

Given the dogmatic fundamental tone of the later editions of the " Organon " is often called "the bible of homeopathy ". The fifth edition is among other things characterized by different verbal abuse of Hahnemann well against other doctors as well as against him not loyal homeopath.
