The Penguins

The Penguins were an American doo-wop band of the 1950s, which was mainly known for the R & B # 1 hit Earth Angel ( Will You Be Mine ).

The band was formed in 1954 in Los Angeles as Duncan, Williams, Tate and Tisby together the Fremont High School visited. That same year, the Penguins got a record deal with the indie label Dootone Records and released at the end of their first single, Hey Senorita - with Earth Angel as a B-side. But soon it became clear that Earth Angel received was more than Hey Senorita.
