The Philippi Collection is a collection of headgear of faith, religion and spirituality.

The Philippi Collection is one of the entrepreneur Dieter Philippi, CEO of Herweck AG Saarbrücken, gathered Private Collection.

The focus will be on five hundred headgear of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Caodaism, Shinto, Buddhism, Sikhism and other faiths.

There are also over a hundred pieces of equipment from the clerical and ecclesiastical sphere, such as the shoes of the Pope, Pontifikalhandschuhe, Pallien, Pektoralkreuze, Bishop rings, Pope porcelain, Sountanenbinden, Cardinal scarf and more.

In addition, the collection contains 52 Pektoralschnüre ( Pektoralkordeln ), partly made in elaborate Posamentenhandwerk. At the Pektoralschnüren wear in the Roman Catholic Church, the Pope, the cardinals and bishops crosses her chest ( pectoral ).

Location

The collection is currently on display not public but is open for interested visitors to a telephone appointment for a visit. The collection is housed in Kirkel in Saarland.

Conception and claim
