The Princely Pheasantry

The pheasant in Poreba ( German Poremba ) in the powiat Pszczyński is a pleasure palace, the ( Anhalt- Köthen - Pless ) built between 1797-1800 by order of Prince Friedrich Erdmann by court architect Wilhelm Pusch by a modified by him design by Carl Gotthard Langhans been.

The neoclassical building was erected on a hill, in the middle of a park, in the pheasant breeding was performed. The Summer Palace has a 24 x 13 m large rectangular floor plan. In the 20th century the palace was added to a 11 x 8 meter extension to the north side.

The partial basement building has two floors and an attic, lit by skylights. The main facade on the south side has five windows, the three center window axes form a niche with four Tuscan columns, while the windows of both edge axes are comprised of large arcades, a characteristic of the Langhans drafts solution.

The building features a covered with red tiles roof. The rooms on the ground and first floors serve since 2011 held there wedding celebrations, in the attic there are guest dormitories.

The palace was registered on 20 January 1966, No 504/ 65 in the list of monuments of the Silesian Voivodeship.
