The Province is a Canadian daily newspaper in tabloid format. It is published Monday to Saturday in Vancouver and is published by the Pacific Newspaper Group Inc., a subsidiary of the media group Postmedia Network. The newspaper was first published in 1888 and was acquired in 1923 by the family Southam. 1945 the printer in a six- week long strike.
