Zombie Rage (AKA The Rage ) is an American splatter film by Robert Kurtzman from the year 2007.

Action

A mad scientist develops a virus that causes the infected organisms in irrepressible rage. It tests the virus in his laboratory located in a lonely forest of innocent people. As one of the victims escapes and dies, Leichenfledderer infect with the virus and become man-eaters.

Background

The world premiere was held at the Fantasia Festival in Montreal on July 13, 2007. In May 2011, a slightly abridged version appeared in German dubbing to DVD. In the U.S., the UK, Australia and Germany Age restrictions are over 18 years each.

In 2010, with Rage 2 - The Dead Matter staged an apparent successor. Except for the title, however, is only the participation of actor Andrew Divoff in the lead role and the participation of Robert Kurtzman as a producer a commonality of the two productions.

Reviews

Filmstarts.de rated the film as " purist Metzelorgie who knows her narrow horizons, give a damn about political correctness cares ," she offers " bloodthirsty " effects. The Fantasy Film Festival writes in his program notes: " ... THE RAGE is a low-budget trash fireworks ... "
