The Revolution Continues Alliance

The Alliance " The Revolution Continues " (Arabic تحالف الثورة مستمرة, DMG taḥāluf at- Taura mustamirra alternatively as an alliance to continue the revolution or block "The revolution continues ," translated) was a center-left oriented, predominantly secular alliance in Egypt.

Formative ideological influences of the alliance came from socialism, liberalism and moderate political Islam. The goal of the alliance was to get the revolutionary spirit of the Parliament and to push all the demands of the revolution in Egypt in 2011.

It was formed by two socialist, two liberal and an Islamic party. The Alliance has its election manifesto released on October 23, 2011, one day before the deadline for the general election, which was to start on 24 November.

The establishment followed a conflict within the broad left -aligned, secular and liberal Egyptian block through the participation of representatives of the old regime and the dominance of a few parties within the block. When they could not assert their claims, leaving the Socialist Popular Alliance and the Egyptian Socialist Party of the block. The election campaign of the Alliance was launched on November 2.
