Criticism

" The Romantics is to criticize because of the dubious events. Through this strange friendship constellation, it is difficult as a spectator, come along here. Great actors save this drama but on a solid level. "

" The Romantics convinced with crisp, fresh dialogues, good-humored, and cast an unusual finale, but suffers a bit on the lame drama. "

" ... A novel of course ( are ) very different resources available and this dominates Niederhoffer may, as a director, however, it lacks the necessary sense to initiate and build their characters. Their wives are quäkig, bitchy, complex offsetting, their men are silty, immature and so bored how boring. As would offer true enough superficialities, which Niederhoffer could arise and shine through in the course of the story, but this lacks not only the time to three couples and eight individuals ( Lilas taugenichtsigen brother counted) abzuhandeln appropriate, it lacks also easy on the necessary timing, the feeling for the right moment to tackle the characters accordingly.
