The Seven Joys of Mary (carol)

Joys seven ( Seven Joys ), The Seven Joys of Mary ( The Seven Joys of Mary ), or after Anfangsvers: The first good joy our Mary had ( The first joy of Mary ) and others is a traditional English Carol ( Carol ) on the Seven Joys of Mary, mother of Jesus.

His text was, according to William E. Studwell from the 15th century, the music probably 18th century.

There are several differing versions of the text.

The seven verses of the song, according to these Seven Joys: 1 that Jesus was her son; 2 that he cured the lame; 3 that he healed the blind man; 4 that he read the Bible all ( "to read the Bible o'er "); 5 that he raised the dead; 6 to see Jesus on the cross; 7 her son Jesus wearing the crown of heaven to see ( these mentioned in the song Seven Joys, compare products Mary Letitia ).
