The Singing Bee (U.S. game show)

Singing Bee ( here: Bee = meeting, wreath ) is an NBC game show that started in 2007 in the U.S., but now also in other countries successfully running, as in Australia or the Philippines.

The show concept is based on the principle of karaoke singing. In various competitions, candidates must prove safety text, the vocal performance is not critical. In all competitions, the singer of the studio band listen during a song cut singing and the candidate must sing with the correct text on.

Singing Bee in Germany

The moderators of the German edition on ProSieben, which launched on 9 September 2008, are Oliver Petszokat and Senna Guemmour.

In the German edition usually sang the comedian Tony Marony without knowledge of English a song which he heard with headphones, loud. Candidates from the audience had to guess which song he sang. For the correct answer, there was € 500. The German edition was discontinued in November 18, 2008 due to poor ratings.
