The Space Trilogy

The Perelandra Trilogy is a trilogy of three science fiction novels of the Irish author Clive Staples Lewis ( CS Lewis). In English it is called Space Trilogy, Cosmic Trilogy or Ransom Trilogy.

It is reported that Lewis ' Out of the Silent Planet, wrote the first volume of the series, after discussions with the writer friend JRR Tolkien about the state of fiction in novels. Tolkien design of a science fiction novel entitled The Lost Road was not completed. A draft was included in volume five of The History of Middle -earth series and topics should be incorporated into Tolkien's also unfinished work The Notion Club Papers.

The three volumes of the trilogy are:

Ransom

The fictional philologist Elwin Ransom is the main character of the first two volumes and an important character in the third volume. Ransom has certain similarities to the author C. S.
