The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie is the first animated feature film to the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. The film was made in 2004, directed by Stephen Hillenburg.
Action
SpongeBob expects the promotion to manager of the Krusty Krab 2, a branch of Mr. Krabs 's popular restaurant. But not he is transported to his disappointment, but his colleague, Squidward Tentacles. The devastated sponge explains Mr Krabs, he was too childish and have too little responsibility.
The villain Plankton has, however, present a plan - to reach not only the secret Krabby Patty formula, but also to take over the world in itself - as in several episodes of the series. For this, he steals the crown of Neptune, the ruler of the seas, and pushes the deed with a fictitious letter Mr Krabs in the shoes.
Neptune reserves Mr Krabs a pledge by freezing him until SpongeBob and his friend Patrick has again obtained the crown within six days. Meanwhile, Plankton steals the secret recipe of the Krabby Patty, which he then sold at around the store, plus free trash helmets with which he can control the minds of the people.
Patrick and SpongeBob go on an adventure trip, but need to realize again and again that both put a child's behavior on the day. Trivia
In the movie, SpongeBob and Patrick leave the underwater world for a short time. The scenes on land have been filmed as live action. The actor David Hasselhoff (see Baywatch ) also has a cameo as a lifeguard, which brings the two heroes back to Bikini Bottom.
In the song "I am a deaf nutlets ", which is sung at the end of the film, it is a vice texted version of " I wanna rock " by the band Twisted Sister.
