The Statesman

The Statesman is a national English-language daily newspaper in India with a circulation of about 180,000 copies.

The Statesman was founded in 1875 in Kolkata, India, founded in 1818 as the successor to the newspaper The Friend of India. 1934, the newspaper The Englishman (founded 1821) was merged with The Statesman. Since 1931, the newspaper is published in Delhi in a separate edition.
