The Sunday Times

The Sunday Times is the largest Sunday newspaper whose political orientation is specified as center-right and thus conservative in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It has a circulation of about 1.3 million copies. The Sunday Times is published by Times Newspapers society, which also publishes The Times. Times Newspapers is a subsidiary of News Corporation.

History

The newspaper was founded in 1821 as The New Observer and has been published since 1822 Sunday Times. In 1893 she was taken over by Rachel Berry and 1908 by Alfred Harmsworth. In 1959 she became part of the Kemsley Group, whose owner was at this time Lord Thomson. Thomson took over in 1966 also The Times and founded the publication of two papers, the Times Newspapers Limited.
