The Tale of the Wonderful Potato

The story of the Miraculous potato ( Eventyret om the vidunderlige potato ) is a 1985 Danish animated film rotated by Anders Sørensen. He was released by the Danish Institute for Film and discusses the origin of the potato and their introduction in Europe during the modern era.

Content

The film deals with the distribution of potato in South America and later in Europe. He discusses the social conditions in early modern Europe, explains the importance of the potato as a food source, and concludes with the Kartoffelpest in Ireland.

Production and publication

The film was produced on a screenplay and directed by Anders Sørensen 1985. The music was composed by Anders Koppel, the narrative voice spoke Kai Løvring. For the camera Jette Michaelsen was responsible for the backgrounds Claus Deleuran.

Reception

Video Education Australasia recommends the film for teaching in the 5th to 8th grade.
