The Tourists

The Tourists were a British pop band that existed from 1977 to 1980. For the band included guitarists David A. Stewart and Peet Coombes, the singer Annie Lennox and later the bass guitarist Eddie Chin and drummer Jim Toomey. The band produced three albums and several singles. Among the successes scored the Dusty Springfield cover I Only Want to Be with You. In particular, the producer Conny Plank influenced the band sustained. The band split later, Coombes and Chin were the project called Acid Drops, on the other hand formed Stewart and Lennox Eurythmics.
