The Treniers

The Treniers were an American vocal group of the 20th century in the Rhythm and Blues, Swing, Pop and Rock.

Band History

The formation Founded in 1947, The Treniers was led by the twins Cliff and Claude Trenier. They were accompanied by the orchestra of pianist Gene Gilbeaux with saxophonist Don Hill, bassist Shifty Henry, later, James ( Jimmy ) Johnson succeeded, and drummer Henry " Tucker " Green. Later, The Treniers were also other brothers, like Milt and Skip to Trenier.

Since the 1940s, she appeared with a mix of swing and early rock and roll; well-known songs were the terms " rock" and " roll" containing entitled " Rocking on Sunday Night ", " It Rocks! It Rolls! It Swings! "Or" Rockin ' Is Our Bizness, "the Jimmie Lunceford a version of " Rhythm Is Our Business was " from the 1930s ( the Trenier twins had their careers in the Lunceford band started ). The formation was also known for their humorous song deposits and their stage acrobatics, which anticipated the later shows rock'n'roll groups; their stage performances influenced as The Shadows.

Early in 1947, the 78 " Buzz Buzz Buzz " was released by Mercury; another record ( " Everybody Get Together" ), they recorded for the label London. Early 1950s was made for Okeh with a run by Quincy Jones Orchestra of the song "Get Out of the Car". Another song for Okeh was her duet with the baseball star Willie Mays, " Say Hey (The Willie Mays Song) ".

In the 1950s, they switched to a influenced by rhythm and blues and jump blues style that was similar to the Mills Brothers, but were able to celebrate the beginning of the rock and roll movement despite her film appearances only a few successes. Nevertheless, they had great influence on later artists such as Bill Haley and His Comets, who had seen her performances in Wildwood (New Jersey); they were also the first to be grossed whose song " Rock-a- Beatin 'Boogie ". More songs this time appeared under the name Milt Treniers ( " You're Killin 'Me " ) and on a contract with RCA Victor in 1956 to published album Sorrento.

Her performance in the run by Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis Show Colgate Comedy Hour in 1954, was one of the first opportunities to see Rock'n'Roll on television. In the dance interlude Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis appeared with the brothers and tried to jokingly as a jazz musician.

After the formation had in the 1950s, yet in a number of other music movies, like The Girl Can not Help It and Do not Knock the Rock ( which also occurred Bill Haley ) and continued her career until 2003. Even in 2008, the last survivor of the group, Milt Trenier occurred in restaurants in the Chicago area.
