The children of the moon goddess (French Les Jumeaux du Bout du Monde ) is a 52 -piece French animated series from 1991, which was produced by Jean Chalopin.
Action
1870, the twins of destiny to be born in Shanghai. However, Jules and Julie are not twins, because Jules has Chinese parents and Julie European. The births of the two die, the mothers, the fathers will be enchanted by order of Empress Dowager Cixi. The children should be killed as they free the people according to an ancient prophecy, and to eliminate the monarchy. The children are rescued and taken to safety in France. As the twelve- years old, learns the Empress, that the children are still alive, and it begins a hunt for the kids. On the run from the riders and the eunuch of the Empress Jules and Julie go to China, where she fulfill her destiny and free their fathers.
Production and publication
From 1991 to 1993, the company KK C & D, TF1 and Studio Mook produced the series, directed by Pat Griffiths and Jean Morisse. The music was composed by Gérard Salesses. The series aired from November 13, 1991 by TF1 in France. It has also been translated into Italian, among others. In Germany the first broadcasts took place from 1 March 2002 to 28 February 2003 by the pay-TV channel Fox Kids. These were followed by repetitions, also by the regional television tv.nrw and tv.münchen.
