The Unit

The Unit - A Few Good Men is an American television series. It was aired on 7 March 2006 to 10 May 2009 to the U.S. television channel CBS. It is about a directly subordinate to the President, fictional Special Forces, which carries out secret orders all over the world. Here, the series is based on the Delta Force and based on the book Inside Delta Force: The Story of America's Elite Counter Terrorist Unit of the ex- Delta Force soldiers Eric Lee Haney. The series was produced by the company The Barn Productions Inc., David Mamet Entertainment, and Fire Ants Films in association with 20th Century Fox Television and CBS Paramount Television.

Production and broadcasting

The German Air Date in March 2007 to Sat.1. There are only shown the first three seasons, the third was not sent to Sat.1, but on one cable.

After a long time the existence of the series was unclear, CBS ordered on 12 May 2008, a fourth season. Their broadcasting began on 28 September 2008. On 20 May 2009 CBS announced that series after four seasons.

From 28 February 2008 all four seasons are successively released on DVD.

Action

The Unit is a top-secret anti - terrorist unit that performs only on the orders of the President of the United States out top-secret missions, usually behind enemy lines. To attract any attention, the unit is disguised as 303rd Logistical study unit.

Occupation

Colonel, later Brigadier General Thomas "Tom" Ryan aka Dog Patch 06 ( played by Robert Patrick ) It is the administrative and technical head of the unit. At the beginning of the first season Tom Ryan has an affair with the wife of Master Sergeant Mack Gerhardt. At the end of the first season he ended the affair. He married Charlotte then Ryan. However, the marriage ends in divorce during the third season.

Sergeant Major Jonas Blane aka Snake Doc (played by Dennis Haysbert ) He directs the operational unit and thus usually leads the stakes.

Master Sergeant Mack Gerhardt aka Dirt Diver (played by Max Martini) If it is obvious the second man behind Jonas Blane. At the end of the second season he has a domestic quarrel with his wife, Tiffy, after which she applies for divorce.

Sergeant First Class Robert " Bob " Brown, aka Cool Breeze (played by Scott Foley) If at the beginning of the first season to the unit and is admitted during the first season of Jonas Blane gradually.
