The Veitch Memorial Medal
The Veitch Memorial Medal is awarded annually since 1869 by the Royal Horticultural Society to persons who have made an outstanding contribution to the scientific and practical progress in horticulture.
It is named after James Veitch junior ( 1815-1869 ).
