The Very Best of Cat Stevens is the third compilation album of the singer -songwriter Cat Stevens.

History

The third compilation album by Cat Stevens was released in February 1990, involved the first time, two titles that have appeared on the label Deram Records, so, generate comprehensive than the previous two greatest-hits compilation albums (U.S.: no placement; GB: Place 4, Germany: Place 8). Nine years later, Remember Cat Stevens - The Ultimate Collection (USA: no publication; GB: No. 31; Germany: No. 20 ), published a compilation of 24 tracks, which in October 2003 under the name The Very Best of Cat Stevens (USA: no placement; GB: No placement; Germany: 6th place ) appeared with a DVD. The DVD includes up previously unreleased video footage.

In March 2000, appeared in the U.S. under the same name with a very similar cover already 20 titles, in chronological order from 1967 to 1978 built up compilation (USA: No. 58 ), the one unreleased track ( I've Got a Thing About Seeing My includes Grandson Grow Old ) from the Mona Bone Jakon session; an alternative version of this track appeared on the 2001 Box On the Road to Find Out ( Box Set ).
