The Weepies is a folk-pop duo from Topanga, California.

Description

The Weepies Deb Talan and was conceived by Steve Tannen into being in 2004. 2006 album Say I Am You appeared, where a tour and dozens of appearances on TV shows followed. The iTunes sales shot up in eight countries No. 1 on the folk charts. Famous musicians such as Gary Lightbody or Mandy Moore supported henceforth the duo. Larger appearances as the Oxegen Festival in Ireland or the Hurricane Festival in Germany was the result.

In 2007, the musicians withdrew to recover after durchtourten 2006 and finish a new album. This was published in 2008 under the name Hideaway.

2007 married Deb Talan and Steve Tannen, and in the same year their first child into the world.

Music

The Weepies play folk, pop and country music. Mostly acoustic arrangements occasionally meet on quiet electric guitar sounds that are dominated by Deb talan singing and / or Steve Tannen.
