Theaterfestival Spielart

The theater festival variety is an international theater festival, which takes place regularly since 1995 every two years in November / December in Munich. The festival lasts category 15 to 17 days. Our guests are usually over 20 international theater and performance groups.

History

The theater festival variety exists since 1995 and follows on from the tradition of the Theatre Festival in Munich ( 1979-1985 ) under Thomas Petz. Variety shows primarily independent groups that maintain an experimental approach to theater art form. In the program of 1995 states that variety will make you want to unconventional new theater, which continues through all geographical and thematic boundaries.

Since 1995, the Festival of Tilmann Broszat is headed. The program he designed together with Gottfried Hattinger.

Structure

Support of the theater festival is the association was founded in 1979 Spielmotor München eV, a private - public partnership of BMW AG and the state capital of Munich.

Venues

Variety does not have a venue. The away games are shown at various locations in Munich. Regularly collaborates with the festival Muffatwerk, the Gasteig, the Munich Chamber games, as well as the i-camp/Neues Theater München and the Pathos Transport Theater. Close links also exist with the Department of Theatre Studies at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich, and the Theatre Academy August Ever thing.
