Theatrical technician

Stage technicians are responsible for the technical operations, ie for the stage equipment, before, during and after the responsible performances at a theater.

The stage manager is responsible for all technical operations, the stage manager ensures the organizational process of the action on stage during the performance or the samples.

Special tasks

Further, there are various functions, which are often carried out by different stage technician. In smaller theaters, this differentiation is partially canceled and all Stage technicians participate in all major conversions occurring tasks.

  • Schnürmeister or chief mechanics are located responsible for the movements of the gridiron (theater) scenes, walls and curtains
