The Theegarten - Pactec GmbH & Co KG is a German manufacturer of packaging machines and equipment. Headquartered in Dresden. It fastest machines for packaging small-sized sweets are built around the world.

History

In 1994, the Cologne-based company rose - Theegarten based in Dresden- Reick company Pactec. Both companies look back on a long tradition of packaging machinery.

Pactec

The Pactec went in the wake of German reunification of the former Kombinat Nagema out (until 1990 ). The operation had the chocolate pack skyscraper Dresden his seat

Theegarten

Rose- Theegarten was in Cologne by Justus Theegarten founded in 1934 together with his son Franz. The name Rose is evidence of a co-operation with the British engineering firm Rose Forgrove. Only Forgrove machines were sold in Germany, then built under license. Finally, the family developed their own confectionery packaging machines.

Rose Forgrove was until the 1970s, worldwide sales agent for Theegarten. Christa Rustler Theegarten, the granddaughter of the founder, and her husband Erhard W. Rustler determined from the mid- 1970s to take over the distribution into their own hands. You have laid the foundations for the international sales network with trading partners in over 50 countries with emphasis on the former Western world.

Theegarten - Pactec

In Cologne we had traditionally dedicated mainly to the packaging of hard and soft caramels, toffees, chewy candies, chewing gum and bubble gum products. Pactec had particularly skills for hard candy and small chocolate products.

Three years after the two traditions were combined in 1994 under one management, the decision was made to combine these spatially under one roof. Since 1997, Dresden is the sole corporate location.

2010 the company had 300 employees and a turnover of 50 million euros. The export share is on average 90 percent.

The company is located in the fourth generation of family ownership.

Sports

In the Dresden TSV Theegarten PACTEC more than 200 members active in sport. There are four departments: the general sports, table tennis, gymnastics and volleyball.

Theater

The Rose Ensemble Theegarten eV was founded in Cologne - Brown Field 1999. Members of the theater in Bauturm had gathered in the former canteen of the company rose - Theegarten packaging machines for creation and therefore chose this name.
