Theobald VI, Count of Blois

Theobald VI. of Blois (French Thibaut VI de Blois, . † April 1218 in La Ferté- Villeneuil ) was 1205-1218 Count of Blois and Châteaudun, Chartres, Clermont -en- Beauvaisis.

He was the son of Count Louis, who died in 1205 at the Fourth Crusade, and Catherine de Clermont. His two marriages, the first with Matilda of Alençon, the second with Clemence des Roches, remained childless.

He fought against the Moors in Castile, where he was attacked by leprosy. After his return he lived until his death in 1218 retired in his castle in La Ferté- Villeneuil. His possessions he left behind his aunts Margaret and Isabella. The northern part was for Elizabeth to the county Chartres, the rest went south as a county Blois to Margarete. The county of Clermont -en- Beauvaisis sold Theobald shortly before his death to the Crown.
