Theodbert of Bavaria

Theudebert Duke of Bavaria (also Theodebert / Theotpert or Theodosius III, * 685; † after 716) from the House of Agilolfinger was in the years from 711 to 716 in accordance with his father Theodosius II and his brothers Grimoald II, Tassilo II and Theudebald co-regent in Bavaria and, as such, Duke of part - tribal duchy of Bavaria and Salzburg.

Theudebert was the son of Duke Theodosius II and his wife Folchaid. He was married to Regintrud. Ultimately arguing Grimoald and Hugbert to the rule of Bavaria. After the death of Theudebald Grimoald married the widow Theudebalds.

Theudebert helped the Lombard king Ansprand in 711 /12, the reconquest of his territory. The Bavarian dukedom then developed a dominant position in the southeast of the kingdom, but was weakened by internal struggles of Agilolfinger.
