Theodor Lohrmann

Theodor Lohrmann ( born September 7, 1898 in Heidelberg, † September 2, 1971 ) was a German football player.

Career

Theodore "Teddy" Lohrmann was goalie and began his career at SV Waldhof Mannheim, where he played until 1920. In the round of 1919/20, the forest Höfer won - with Sepp Herberger, Charles Hoeger, Willi Hutter - the championship in a circle Odenwald after two play-off matches against the tied -town rivals VfR Mannheim and qualified thus for the final round of the South German championship. There they were in the southern group behind the 1st FC Nuremberg on the second place, which then also won the German championship with 2-0 goals against SpVgg Fürth. Since the 1st FC Nuremberg with Heiner Stuhlfauth had the time probably best goalkeeper of Germany in his team undertook the SpVgg Fürth with Theodor Lohrmann ado the second best goalkeeper of this period.

In the same year Lohrmann came in the match against Hungary on 24 October 1920 in Berlin also his first appearance for the German national football team. Although he Stuhlfauth was now equal, he could not oust him in Nationaltor and came to his career total of only three internationals. With Fürth Lohrmann succeeded in winning the title in 1923 in southern Germany. In the final round of the German Cup, the Shamrock Elf but failed in the semifinals at Union Oberschoeneweide. With Southern Lohrmann won the 1922 victory in the Federal Cup. On March 5, 1922, the South won in Hamburg with 7-0 gates the final against North Germany. Besides Lohrmann stood with George Wellhöfer, Josef Müller, Hans Lang, Andreas Franz Leonhard and Seiderer five more Fürth on the winning team.

In 1923 Lohrmann for Wiener Amateur Sports Club, where he played until 1929 before he trailed off his career with the Wiener AC. With Austria Wien he celebrated in 1924 and 1926, winning the championship and the Cup. In 1925, he was with the Austrian Vice- champion and cup winner. On 4 May 1924 he was in an international friendly match in his homeland against the Kurpfälzer VfR Mannheim a guest appearance in series of Wiener amateurs. Through his "professional activity " in Vienna, he no longer came from then inserts for the DFB team in question and the duel with Heiner Stuhlfauth was completed. Lohrmann was not only a good footballer, he was a tremendously versatile gifted all-around athlete who also played rugby, tennis, handball and water polo with far- above-average performance. In his Viennese club he placed among other things, an all round record when he played in a day in all four sports games. In water polo, he also won the Austrian Championship.

On fußballerischem field of tall blond was particularly impressed by his wide haircuts, his energetic, prepared to take risks in between walking and not least the exceptional fishing safety and penalty area.

After his playing career Lohrmann was physical education teacher and worked as a trainer, among other things for FC Zurich, Rot Weiss Oberhausen, Schwarz-Weiß Essen and Hamborn 07 Oberhausen he assumed on 20 October 1938 and grew with the team from Niederrheinstadion 1939 in the Gauliga Lower Rhine.
