Theodoric IV, Landgrave of Lusatia

Dietrich III. ( IV ), also called Diezmann (* 1260, † probably on December 10, 1307 in Leipzig) from the House of Wettin, was from 1291 to 1303 as Dietrich IV Margrave of Lausitz, also from 1291 Margrave Easter in the country and from 1298 as Dietrich (I.) Landgrave of Thuringia.

Life

Dietrich was in 1260 as the third son of Albert the Degenerate and Margaretha von Staufen, daughter of Emperor Frederick II, was born.

After Dietrich's mother in 1270 had fled due to the affection of her husband to Cunegonde of Eisenberg of the Wartburg, Dietrich and his older brother Friedrich were the open -ended at the court of his uncle, the Margrave Dietrich of Landsberg, educated.
