Thep Sathit District

Amphoe Thep Sathit ( Thai: อำเภอ เทพสถิต ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Chaiyaphum. The Chaiyaphum Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Phakdi the Chumphon, Nong Bua Rawe, Sap Yai, Bamnet Narong in the province of Chaiyaphum, Amphoe Thepharak in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima, Amphoe Lam Sonthi in Lopburi Province and Amphoe Wichian Buri in Phetchabun province.

History

Thep Sathit was posted on November 1, 1976 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) by the three tambon Wa Tabaek, Na Yang Huai Yai and Klak Chio were separated from Amphoe Bamnet Narong. On April 1, 1983 Thep Sathit got the full Amphoe status.

Management

The circle is divided into five subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 84 villages ( Muban ).

Thep Sathit ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เทพสถิต ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Wa Tabaek.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
