Thermal is a census- designated place in Riverside County in the U.S. state of California, United States. The town has 2865 inhabitants ( 2010) and lies to the east of the Coachella Valley.
Geography
Thermal is located in central Riverside County, California in the United States. The town is bordered on the north by Coachella and is otherwise surrounded by township open area.
About 40 kilometers northwest of Thermal located Palm Springs, about 15 kilometers south of the Salton Sea.
