Thermoplan AG

The company ThermoPlan AG was founded in 1974 by entrepreneur Domenic Steiner in Weggis in Switzerland. It is an international machine manufacturer in the hospitality sector, which was known for the modular automatic coffee machine. The medium size enterprise has 180 employees ( 2009). 95% of sales of CHF 100 million (2008 ) can be achieved through export. 2009, the management was transferred to Adrian Steiner.

The breakthrough for the small business in family ownership in 1999 when it was awarded the contract as the exclusive supplier of fully automatic espresso machines from the international coffeehouse chain Starbucks. In 2004 the company won the Innovation Award of Commerce and Industry Chamber of central Switzerland.

ThermoPlan Arena

This Weggis was awarded the contract for the training camp of the Brazilian national football team in late 2005, funds have been established to rehabilitate the training grounds of FC Weggis and create a soccer field according to the FIFA standards by its owner Domenic Steiner. 2006 coached the Brazilian team there to prepare for the World Cup 2006.
