Theta Boötis

Bootis θ ( Theta Bootis, pronounced " Bo - otes ") is a main-sequence star in the constellation Bootes. He wears the proper name Asellus Primus (Latin first donkey ). Theta Bootis has an apparent magnitude of 4.1 mag and belongs to the spectral class F7. Its distance is about 47 light-years.

Theta Bootis is located - with the close neighboring stars ι and κ Bootis ( Asellus Secundus and Tertius ) on the northern edge of the constellation, near the handle of the Big Dipper.
