Thibaut Nicolas Marc Courtois (born 11 May 1992 Bree ) is a Belgian football goalkeeper who is currently on loan from Chelsea to the Spanish side Atlético Madrid and the Belgian national team is active.

Career
In the club
Courtois was the son of the Belgian volleyball professionals and Gitte Thierry Courtois to the world. Unlike his siblings, but he decided to play football and began his long career as a five year old when Blizen VV in the same city, which is located south of Genk, about 40 km from Bree. There he stayed for three years and then moved at the age of eight years in the youth department of KRC Genk. On July 16, 2011 have been officially announced that Courtois was sold for a transfer fee of around nine million euros to Chelsea and will be awarded directly to Atlético Madrid on. In the National Team
