Thibaut Monnet

Thibaut Monnet ( born February 2, 1982 in Martigny ) is a Swiss ice hockey player. Since 2013 he plays in Fribourg- Gottéron in the Swiss National League A.

Career

Thibaut Monnet began his career as a hockey player with the HC Martigny, for which he B was active from 1997 to 1999 in the National League. He then moved to the National League A in which he initially ran aground ever a year for the Lausanne HC and HC La Chaux -de-Fonds. He then completed two seasons for Fribourg- Gottéron and SCL Tigers. After the attacker in the season 2005/ 06 stood at SC Bern under contract, he played the following year for his former club Fribourg- Gottéron before he was hired in the summer of 2007 by the ZSC Lions. With the Lions striker won in the 2007/ 08 season for the first time in his career the Swiss Championship. In addition, Monnet won with the team during the 2008/ 09 season, the first edition of the newly formed Champions Hockey League. 2012 Monnet won for the second time the Swiss championship with the ZSC Lions. In December 2012, it was announced that he will change to the 2013/14 season back in the French-speaking Switzerland to Fribourg- Gottéron.

Internationally

For Switzerland, Monnet took part in the U18 World Junior Championships in 1999 and 2000, as well as the U20 World Junior Championships in 2001 and 2002 in part. In addition, he was in the squad of Switzerland at the World Championships in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

At the World Championships in 2013 in Stockholm and Helsinki, he was again part of the national team and won the silver medal with this. He was there only for one game on the match sheet and was not used.
