Thies Christophersen

Thies Christophersen ( born January 27, 1918 in Kiel, † 13 February 1997 Molfsee ) was a German Holocaust denier and farmer.

Life

Christophersen occurred in 1931 in the German Young Folk one. In 1944, he was employed as a special SS leader in a Research Institute for Plant Protection of the SS Economic and Administrative Main Office near the Auschwitz concentration camp.

After 1945, Christophersen was politically by its own account in the CDU and the German party active before he joined the National Democratic Party of Germany. In the late 1960s he participated in the founding of the " emergency association of German peasants." Her job, Christophersen operated as a farmer in Schleswig -Holstein. Since 1965 he edited the monthly journal " German farmer", which he later sold to Gerhard Frey.

In 1973 he published at the suggestion of Manfred Roeder in the brochure " The Auschwitz Lie ", whose title became synonymous with the Holocaust denial. Christophersen tried in his writings to prove that the detainees had been treated well in the concentration camp Auschwitz. So was dancing and singing at work. The detainees had been cared for properly. The brochure was drafted in 1978.

Because of the spread of Nazi propaganda Christophersen was sentenced to a fine of 1,500 DM 1976. Later, several convictions followed because of the spreading of indicator unconstitutional organizations, as well as insulting the state and the memory of the dead. In 1986, he escaped prosecution by moving to Denmark, the Christophersen not surrendered to Germany.
