Third Mainland Bridge

The Third Mainland Bridge (German Third Mainland Bridge ) is a bridge in the Nigerian city of Lagos.

It connects as the Carter Bridge and Eko Bridge downtown Lagos Iceland and the adjacent financial and government centers Ikoyi and Victoria Iceland with the northern mainland, where the international airport is Lagos. The Third Mainland Bridge is the longest of three bridges with a length of 10.5 km. It leads, starting from the northern end of Lagos Iceland, across the lagoon from Lagos to the north and to several kilometers west to the expressway Lagos - Ibadan.

The Third Mainland Bridge was built in 1990 to relieve the traffic network of the metropolis. Still leads the dense traffic between the city center and the mainland daily traffic jams. Recently, it was reported by a swaying of the bridge, which could indicate disrepair.
