This Charming Man ( original title: Der er en yndig someone ) is a Danish short film. It's a comedy of errors, in which the protagonist Lars to help his love Ida, assumes the identity of a Pakistani immigrant. The original title refers to the Danish National Anthem The He et yndigt country. 2003, the film won an Oscar for Best Short Film.

Action

Lars Hansen, born in 1971 and is standing alone, looking for a job. After several refusals he goes to job placement. There he meets an old school friend, Ida. She gives him her phone number. Due to a mix up in the job placement is sent instead of the Pakistani El Hassan Lars to a Danish course.
