Thisted Municipality
Thisted municipality is a Danish municipality in northern Jutland. It was created on 1 January 2007 as part of local government reform by combining the "old" Thisted municipality with the former municipalities Hanstholm and Sydthy.
Thisted municipality has a total population of 44 494 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013 ) and an area of 1073.70 km ². It is part of the Nordjylland region.
