THK Tver

The THK Tver (Russian Тверской Хоккейный Клуб / Tver Hockey Club ) is a Russian ice hockey club, which was founded in 1949 as Spartak Kalinin and during most of its existence in the highest Soviet and later Russian league, played. Today, the team plays in the second-rate Wysschaja Hockey League.

History

As early as 1952, the name of the club in Skwo Kalinin, as amended in 1961 in SKA MWO Kalinin and 1999 THK Tver. 2004 decided the Russian Interior Ministry to finance its own ice hockey club HK MVD Tver and founded the based on the THK. While the first team was outsourced in the HK MVD, the second team junior and continued to play under the name THK Tver.

The former second team of THK Tver played in the following years in the third division, the Perwaja league.
