Thomas Allofs

Thomas Allofs ( born November 17, 1959 in Dusseldorf ) is a former German football player.

Career

Club career

Together with his brother Klaus Allofs the striker played for years for Fortuna Dusseldorf. In 1982 he left the Fortuna, with whom he twice won the DFB Cup and once stood in the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup, and went into the Palatinate 1 FC Kaiserslautern. After three years of successful attacker transferred to 1 FC Köln, where he initially could again play together with his brother Klaus. 1989, he moved, as freshly baked Bundesliga top scorer ( together with the Bayern players Roland Wohlfarth ) abroad and he moved to RC Strasbourg in France. But after only one season, he returned to Germany to Fortuna Dusseldorf. Due to an injury, he finished his career in 1992.

National

In total he played 25 matches, but only two in the senior team. His first use of A- 1985 against Portugal ( substitute for Pierre Littbarski ) - the Germans lost a game for the first time a World Cup qualifier - followed by the second three years later against the former Soviet Union, where he was going on a full 90 minutes. This encounter won the German team through an own goal from Schmatowalenko 1-0.

After the active career

He performs with his father- the company Lück & Allofs, a recycling company with 35 employees in Dusseldorf and was, until October 2013 Member of the Board at Fortuna Dusseldorf.
